Each one of our rooms have been renovated as of 2020, in order to provide our guests with the best experience.
Located just 15 minutes outside of Peterborough, surrounded by the quaint town of Lakefield, our inn offers cozy accommodations for our guests, with a number of fun activities within the area, including shopping, fine dining, hiking trails, and local events. Take a stroll down Peterborough’s historic downtown district, and enjoy some local shopping, or check out the famous Peterborough Lift Locks.

These feature two queen beds or one queen bed and a sofa bed. They are located on the two upper floors of the inn overlooking the Mainstreet of Lakefield.

In addition to the comfort and convenience provided by all the amenities found in our rooms, each of our suites boasts additional elements of luxury and comfort for your enjoyment. This unique, new room features one king bed and a bay window sitting area. It is a corner room located on the main floor. There is a mini kitchenette equipped with a microwave and dish ware for your convenience, and bath robes for your comfort. An ideal room for long term stays.
Luxury and Comfort
King Balcony Rooms
These new rooms feature one king bed and a sofa bed. They are located on the main floor of the inn facing the street where you can sit on the balcony and watch the people walk by. There is a mini kitchenette equipped with a microwave and dish ware for your convenience, and bath robes for your comfort. These are ideal rooms for long term stays.

Village Inn Policies
Occupancy: All rates based on double occupancy. Up to two children under 18 are allowed at no charge. There is a charge of $20.00 per person per night for each additional person over 18 (maximum four persons per room).
Check-In/Out Time: Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am.
Smoking: All accommodations, balconies and common areas at the Village Inn are Non-smoking and non-vaping. There is a cleaning charge of $150.00 added for non-compliance to cover additional cleaning and sanitizing of the room.
Deposits: All Room bookings require a major credit card. Visa/Debit cards are not accepted to secure a room.
Cancellations: No charge if cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the day of arrival and if cancelled within the 48 hours, a $30 administrative charge is placed on the credit card on file. If a guest does not show up for their room, the full amount of the first night will be charged to the credit card the room is being held on.
Guest rooms will not be entered for daily housekeeping. Fresh room supplies can be requested and will be left outside of the room door.
Baby Equipment: Travel cribs are available at a charge of $10/night
Cots: Are available at a charge of $10.00/night

Pets at the Village Inn
All well-mannered pets are welcome to our hotel. Pets are allowed in the following areas – 2 Ground Floor Designated pet rooms, hallways leading to your room, to and from the entrance and exits to the hotel. They are not allowed in the breakfast room or other common areas.
We reserve the right to ask for immediate removal of any pets that display dangerous or unacceptable behavior.
Our PET POLICY
2 pets maximum per room. Guests are responsible for the cleanup both inside and outside of the hotel room. Pets should not be left unattended in the hotel rooms (unless otherwise specified by the staff member on duty)
Any damages caused by pets during the stay will be the responsibility of the guest and may be charged accordingly.
